A/N: This one’s a double drabble.

The Welsh weather was well known for being changeable, especially along the coast, but even so this was a bit extreme. The day had started out quite a bit warmer than average for late spring, tempting people to venture out in their shirt sleeves, under the weather forecaster’s promise that the warm spell would last for several days, so nobody was prepared when in the middle of their mini heatwave, clouds suddenly swept in from nowhere and it started to snow.

It wasn’t just one of those random light sprinkles that sometimes happened in spring either; rather it was a full-on blizzard, the thickly falling flakes reducing visibility to a few feet.

“This can’t be natural!” Ianto said, huddled in a doorway with the rest of the team.

With frozen fingers, Tosh used her PDA to access mainframe. “It’s not,” she agreed through chattering teeth. “According to this, a Rift portal opened at high altitude, bringing snow clouds from the last ice age into the present. If it’s any consolation, it should only last for an hour or two.”

“Charming!” Ianto grumbled. He turned to Owen. “This is all your fault! Why’d you have to complain about being too hot?”

The End

It really did. Then we got older and got all these responsibilities...

I was bullied at school. It stays with you. *hugs*

We are survivors of idiotic behaviour.*hugs*
Yep, like so many others out there. I used to take refuge in the school library during breaks.
*big bear hug*

I had to roam around my primary school alone during lunchtime on a Monday because the library wasn't open. The girl who befriend me that time was absent that day.:(

I only really had one friend during grammar school and we were in different classes, but we both wound up spending breaks in the library. Ours was open every day. we helped the librarian, shelving, processing new books, repairing old ones... It was good.

I got mistaken for a librarian once at a public library as a teenager. Back in the days before the internet and I needed encyclopaedias.

I was receptionist for a day in high school with a friend. That was just delivering paperwork but at least we had each other's company and didn't have to go to classes that day.
I worked in our local library as a volunteer on Saturday mornings, then when I left school I worked in the university library until my health got too bad. I loved it.

Makes me wish I had done a library TAFE course. The librarians at TAFE were very friendly and helpful.

I'm looking for volunteer work while I'm job seeking.
Good for you. I hope you'll be successful.

Maybe you'll get a chance to do a library course another time.
