Summary: Dee is away working undercover, and Ryo is having trouble sleeping, alone in their bed.

A/N: Double drabble.
“I wonder what Dee’s doing right now.” Ryo lay on his back, hands behind his head, sleepless, staring at the ceiling of his and Dee’s bedroom. His partner had been lumbered with an undercover gig, on account of him being ‘single’, so he was off working as a bartender at a sleazy club downtown, and living in some cheap one-room apartment. Would he be missing Ryo as much as Ryo was missing him? No doubt he’d have more than enough to keep him busy during work hours, just as Ryo did during the day. “Probably misses the bed though.”
It was weird lying here without his lover. The bed was his own, the one he’d inherited from his parents, and he’d slept in it alone for years, but after a few months of living with Dee it felt much too big for one. He missed Dee’s warmth beside him, and the sleep-heavy arm draped over his stomach. He missed Dee’s quiet breathing, and even the occasional snore.
How long would it be before Dee was back sleeping beside him? A couple of weeks? A month? Longer? There was no way of knowing. He couldn’t have his lover home soon enough.
