A/N: This one’s a double drabble.
“OW!” JJ yelped. “Get off my foot, you great oaf!”
“Oops. Sorry, JJ. Didn’t see you there,” Dee said blithely, taking his foot off JJ’s and walking away, leaving the smaller man hopping about, an injured expression on his face.
Ryo hurried after his partner and down the stairs towards the firing range. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”
“Okay, yeah, I did, but at least it kept him from jumpin’ all over me. My ribs haven’t recovered from last time yet.”
“Don’t you think that was a bit cruel?”
“And what he does to me isn’t? I’m a permanent mass of bruises thanks to JJ; all I did was repay the favor. Besides, I apologised, which is more than JJ ever does. Maybe now he’ll Keep his distance for a bit and let my ribs heal.”
“If you ever do anything like that again, I’ll hit you myself. You really could’ve hurt him.” Ryo stalked past his partner and pushed open the firing range door.
Dee scrambled after him. “Whose side are you on? You’re my partner; you’re supposed to back me up!”
“JJ doesn’t mean you any harm.”
Dee groaned. “Not gonna win this argument, am I?”
