FAKE Double Drabble: First Date Nerves

Summary: This is it, the evening of his big date, and Bikky’s nerves are getting the better of him.

A/N: Double drabble.




Bikky was beyond nervous; after years of friendship, hanging out, and getting into all kinds of scrapes together, tonight he was taking Carol out on their first official date. He knew her almost better than he knew himself, all her likes and dislikes, her favourite colours, foods, and flowers… He’d planned this date down to the last detail, so why were his palms wet and his mouth so dry?


“First date nerves?” Dee smirked, and Bikky felt the familiar desire to wipe that smug look off the older man’s face, except he’d just got himself presentable for the big occasion and didn’t want to show up on Carol’s doorstep looking mussed and messy. He was fifteen, not a little kid, and Carol was eighteen; the last thing he wanted was for her to regret saying she’d go out with him. He contented himself with glaring at his nemesis, even if he suspected he looked more like a rabbit caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.


“It’s normal, kid; everyone’s nervous on first dates. Hell, I was first time I took Ryo out. Just remember, Carol’s gonna be nervous too.” Dee shoved twenty bucks into Bikky’s hand. “You’ll be fine.
