Doctor Who Drabble: Wrong Turn

Title: Wrong Turn
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Donna, Tenth Doctor.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 228: Mazy at dw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: The inside of the TARDIS is such a maze it’s easy to get lost.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

‘How does the Doctor not get lost in here?’ Donna wondered as she wended her way through the mazy jumble of rooms and corridors that made up the interior of the TARDIS.

The Doctor had given her detailed directions to the vast room he called the wardrobe before sending her off to change into something suitable for the time period they were visiting, but she had a horrible feeling she’d taken a wrong turn somewhere along the way, because surely this narrow little passageway couldn’t lead to where she wanted to go.

Maybe she should go back and start again.

Great drabble
Thank you!

A map would come in handy.
Trouble is, I'm not sure things are always in the same place within the TARDIS... Sometimes they move around.

Thank you!

The TARDIS map should come with a disclaimer.

Some rooms may move sporadically.

Your very welcome.:)
That would work!

Problem solved!

I'm sure the TARDIS can telepathically know if a companion needs help where to go.
She could probably create a coloured line on the floor or wall to be followed.

That's a good idea. But wouldn't the line move?*unsure*
I'm sure she could just make a line appear marking out a route when needed rather than having a permanent one.

Right. I read that wrong. I thought Donna was drawing the line.:)

Disregard my previous comment.
*laughs* No worries, I should have said the TARDIS instead of 'she'. Gets confusing.

No problem. It's nice to have that cleared up though. The TARDIS is a she.=D

I should have known Donna wouldn't really do that. Not with a permanent marker anyway.
The TARDIS would not approve of permanent marker being used on her person. The Doctor probably wouldn't either, although he might do it himself if he needed to write something down and didn't have any paper handy *envisions equations scrawled on his bedroom walls*

I don't blame her.*envisions the Doctor scrubbing her walls*

Donna liked note taking.:)
But Donna wouldn't write on the walls, I think she used a notebook.

The Doctor would be in trouble! Twelve has a blackboard in the console room doesn't he? Maybe that's to stop him writing on walls...

Writing is on the wall?

Not on the TARDIS it ain't!

Donna did like her notebooks.:)

Oh yes. The blackboard. That was a reference to Clara being a teacher. She must have given it to him.
Yes, to make sure he didn't write on walls ;)

There's that. I think the TARDIS could have telepathically told him off if he tried as well.:)
I don't doubt that she would have. She wouldn't put up with such indignities!

A little mental zap!.:)
Or maybe not so little if she's really annoyed with him!

Ouch!. I'm sure the Doctor is a quick learner.:)
