“Awesome!” Bikky had good reason to be excited. In all his twelve years he’d never been to a pro basketball game. His dad could never afford the tickets, but now not only was Bikky going to be at Madison Square Garden for the next home game, but he’d be watching his beloved Bulls trounce the home team. Because the Bulls were bound to win, everyone knew the Knicks sucked.
There was just one small downside; instead of Ryo taking him he’d be going with the perv. Not an ideal situation, but Bikky could deal. It was a small price to pay for actually being there in the stands watching his team play. Plus, Dee was a Knicks fan, which would just make it so much better when they inevitably lost. Bikky could hardly wait!
Sure enough, the Bulls won, right at the buzzer. It was totally awesome! Bikky was stoked and Dee was an old grouch all the way home. That was fine with Bikky; he delighted in needling his nemesis. “Victorious! The Knicks are a bunch of losers!” he gloated.
Dee glared daggers at him. “That’s what you think, twerp. The Bulls just got lucky.”
Oh yeah. Awesome evening!
