Summary: It’s a bitterly cold winter’s day and all Ryo wants is to get home and warm up.

Winter in New York was seldom much fun, especially when work kept you traipsing around the treacherously slippery sidewalks in the falling snow and driving wind. Even muffled in a thick coat with the hood up, boots on his feet, gloves on his hands, and a thick woollen scarf wound around his neck, Ryo was still cold. More than anything he wanted to be indoors with the heat turned up, cosy from a hot shower, and preferably with a steaming mug of hot chocolate in his hands.


He said as much to Dee. “As soon as we get back to the precinct and clock off, I’m heading to home to make my dream a reality.”


“It does sound good, but I think I have a better idea.”


“What would that be?”


“That you come back to mine and let me warm you up. I guarantee I’ll have you feelin’ toasty in no time.”


Dee had come to work by car that morning while Ryo had take the subway and would have to get home the same way. Bikky was on a sleepover for a friend’s birthday…


“Does this scenario include a hot shower?”


“I’ll even throw in a massage.”


“Sold.”
