Ryo wasn’t quite sure how he’d gotten roped into this, but here he was, helping Dee clear out a vastly overfull closet crammed with all manner of junk.
“What have you got in here?”
“No idea; I’ve been shovin’ in everythin’ I didn’t have a proper place for ever since I moved in. I wouldn’t bother clearin’ it out now, but the last time I went to put stuff in there, a bunch of junk fell out on my head. Figured I should do somethin’ about it before anythin’ worse happened.
“You mean like the floor collapsing from the weight?”
“Haha, very funny!” Dee was rummaging in a box of oddments. “Oooh, I’d completely forgotten I had this!” He held up a colorful coiled spring.
Abandoning emptying the closet, Ryo went over to his lover. “A slinky? I always wanted one of those when I was a kid.”
“Why didn’t ya get one? I mean it’s not like they were expensive, surely your parents could’ve afforded it.”
“Well, yes, but our house didn’t have stairs, so…” Ryo shrugged.
“Got stairs here. Wanna play?”
“We’re supposed to be clearing out your closet.”
For once, Ryo gave in to temptation.
