Summary: Bikky only just got his weekly allowance but it’s already gone.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Ryo?”
“Hm?” Ryo looked up from his book. “What’s up, Biks?”
The boy shuffled his feet, staring down at the floor. “I was wondering if I could maybe get an advance on next week’s allowance?”
Ryo frowned; he’d only given his foster son his allowance money that morning, and it was supposed to last the boy a whole week.
“What happened to the money I gave you this morning?”
If anything, the question made Bikky look even more uncomfortable. “Carol and I were out and there was this street carnival…”
“And I suppose you spent all your allowance on rides and snacks.”
“Well, not exactly. I mean we did go on some rides, and I bought cotton candy and toffee apples, but…”
“But?”
“Well, there was this ring toss game, the prizes were all these huge stuffed animals, and Carol really wanted one, and it looked so easy, and I got so close to winning the first time that I just kept trying…” He trailed off again because Ryo was laughing.
“You got suckered, Biks; those games are almost impossible to win, that’s how the stallholders make their money.”
Bikky sighed. “Carol won a pink elephant on her first throw.”
