Drabble: Waking - Sequel to ‘Waiting’

Title: Waking - Sequel to ‘Waiting

Author: badly_knitted

Characters: Ianto, Jack

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 297 – Seconds at tw100

Spoilers: Nothing specific

Summary: Jack revives from another death.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: Not as fluffy as I’d hoped, but it’s what I ended up with. A pair of drabbles because it wasn’t fair to leave Jack dead and Ianto waiting.

Between one second and the next, Jack jolted back into life, gasping for breath and clutching at Ianto like a drowning man.

“It’s okay, Jack, I’ve got you,” Ianto murmured in his lover’s ear.

“Ianto, you’re alright! Was scared you’d be killed too, didn’t have time to warn you.”

“I saw everything, dealt with the alien before it knew I was there.”

Jack breathed a sigh of relief, squirming around to face Ianto; the next few minutes were spent in very pleasurable kissing and groping as Jack checked for himself that all Ianto’s parts were attached and in working order.

OoOoOoOoO

Separating to catch their breath, Ianto leant his forehead against Jack’s and just breathed in his scent for a few seconds before finally pulling away.

The rain was coming down ever harder and they were now half-laying in a rapidly expanding puddle of freezing water, soaked to their skins. Funny how he hadn’t noticed that until just now.

“As pleasurable as this is, we should probably clean up the evidence,” Ianto gestured at the dead alien, “and get back to the Hub before we drown.”

Reluctantly, Jack let him go.

“You’re right. Work before pleasure. Later though?”

“Count on it.”

Definitely The End

awww this was fluffy enough for me!
lovely!
Thank you. Still a bit angsty around the edges I think!
The joys of cheating death naked good times.
Yep! Ianto just prefers to get home and in the dry first, lol!

Thank you.

very nice. I can completely understand how Ianto wouldn't have noticed the rain. Jack can be very distracting. ^_^
He can indeed, which can lead to some peculiar situations. They'll enjoy themselves more when they're somewhere dry and comfortable though.

Thank you.
Love how much these two care for eachother, great work with this.
Thank you.

I couldn't just leave Jack dead and Ianto worrying.

They're very protective of each other.
Hope those poor boys didn't catch cold (although I'm willing to bet they got each other good and warm)!
Picure a steamy, soapy shower and big fluffy towels... They were soon warm and worn out, lol!

Thank you.

Lovely sequels! I bet that's Jack's favorite way to come back--in Ianto's arms, with the mission accomplished and some sexytimes to look forward to! :)
Yeah, it makes the dying and reviving less of an ordeal if he has something good to look forward to.

Thank you.
*melts*
Thank you. Couldn't leave Jack dead and Ianto worrying, they needed a happy ending to the situation.
Glad to see that Jack was concerned that Ianto would be alright (I think that also makes Ianto feel better about what happened, too).
I think the angsty here was just a lining around a big fluffy cloud of fluff *lol* :)
Fluff is my middle name, I can never stay away from fluffiness for long!

Thank you.
"the next few minutes were spent in very pleasurable kissing and groping as Jack checked for himself that all Ianto’s parts were attached and in working order."

I understand the reaction of Jack.
I would like make same things especially when it's of Ianto and Jack! LOL

"Funny how he hadn’t noticed that until just now." YEP!
Lol! I'm sure we'd all love to grope Ianto for any reason. And Jack too!

Thank you.
