FAKE Double Drabble: Homicide Detectives

Title: Homicide Detectives
Fandom: FAKE
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Ryo, Dee, Bikky.
Rating: PG
Challenge: 136: Murder at drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: After the manga.
Summary: Being homicide detectives, it’s hardly surprising Ryo and Dee are discussing a murder.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.

Sprawled on the living room floor, drinking coffee, Ryo and Dee were discussing a homicide.

“He did it,” Dee stated firmly. “He murdered her in cold blood. They were probably havin’ an affair or somethin’; she tells him she’s met someone new, he flies into a jealous rage, and kills her.”

“That’s not a cold blood scenario; more of a heat of passion thing.”

“Quit splittin’ hairs; I’m tellin’ ya, he’s our guy! It all fits.”

“You don’t know that,” Ryo insisted. “You’re just jumping to conclusions again. There are several potential suspects and we’ve only ruled out one so far; the housekeeper.”

Dee snorted. “The victim was found dead in the library; of course it was her professor! Pretty young student, older married man…”

“If they were having an affair, the murderer could just as easily be the professor’s wife, getting rid of the competition. You ever consider that? You can’t just storm in and accuse someone of murder without proof. And what about the murder weapon?”

“I’ll figure it out, but I’m right. You’ll see.” Dee rolled the dice again.

Bikky rolled his eyes. “Don’t you two get enough of murder at work without playing Clue all evening?”
