Tosh stared at her computers in horror; it was a disaster, all her unsaved work obliterated in an instant. She’d have to redo everything she’d been working on for the past several hours, and there was no guarantee she’d be able to replicate her thought processes. Right when she’d been making real progress on her translation programme! It just proved how thoughtless some of her colleagues were.


The worst of it was they didn’t even care, too caught up in their selfish flirting to give any thought to her feelings.


Maybe Mary was right; they weren’t her friends at all.
