“It’s turning into a kid’s day-care centre around here,” Owen said, frowning as eight-year-old Meriel dashed past in pursuit of five-year-old Lily.
“What’re you complaining about? One of them is yours,” Ianto said. He had his six-month-old daughter Jenna on his hip. Gwen was bouncing Jenna’s twin brother Gareth on her lap and looking broody, as if she didn’t have enough already with ten-year-old Anwen, and four-year-old Gethyn, who were at home with their dad.
“I wasn’t complaining, just making an observation,” Owen corrected. “Martha’s due any day now.”
“Good thing we’ve still got a spare medic then,” Ianto teased.
