FAKE Double Drabble: Guilty Conscience

Title: Guilty Conscience
Fandom: FAKE
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Bikky, Ryo, Dee.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 154: Guilty at drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: After the manga.
Summary: Bikky is worried that he’s to blame for Dee’s injury.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.

Dee was in hospital, seriously injured; Ryo said he’d been thrown headfirst into a brick wall, leaving him with a skull fracture and amnesia. He didn’t remember anything from the last few years, had no idea who Ryo was, and now Bikky felt horribly guilty.

He didn’t hate Dee, not really, but ever since that first day Bikky had seen the older man as a rival for Ryo’s attention. So many times he’d wished Dee would just forget about Ryo and go away, and now he had, the forgetting part anyway. If Bikky hadn’t wished so hard, maybe this wouldn’t have happened. Dee wasn’t so bad, even did cool stuff for Bikky, taking him to basketball games, and giving him money so he could take Carol to the movies…

But now Ryo was frantic with worry, scared Dee would never get his memory back, and what if he didn’t? What if this was Bikky’s fault and his dumb wish was the reason Dee couldn’t remember the man who loved him?

“Please, God, I don’t know if you’re real but if you are, please make Dee better. I promise I’ll try to be nicer to him.”

It was worth a try.

The End
