FAKE Double Drabble: Stormy Weather

Title: Stormy Weather
Fandom: FAKE
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Dee, Ryo.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 156: Storm at drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: After the manga.
Summary: There’s a storm rolling in, interrupting Dee and Ryo’s vacation; what are they supposed to do while it’s raining?
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.

Standing on a headland looking out across the sea, Dee and Ryo watched dark clouds building on the horizon, an angry bruise marring the blue of the summer sky.

“Man, would ya look at that?” Dee murmured, a hint of awe in his voice. A hot gust of wind disturbed the heavy stillness of the air. “Gonna be one hell of a storm.”

“Yeah.” Ryo had mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, a storm would clear the air and put an end to the enervating heatwave the south coast of England had been labouring under for the past three days. On the other, heavy rain would mean abandoning some of their plans. There was only so much anyone could do in a storm; they’d have to find a museum or something, which he personally wouldn’t mind but Dee wasn’t big on museums and would probably be bored stiff inside five minutes. Maybe they could find a cinema and see a movie.

“You okay?”

“Fine, just wondering what we’re going to do while the storm lasts.”

Dee grinned. “Figured we’d go back to our hotel and make our own fun.”

Ryo should’ve known; Dee had an answer for everything.
