Summary: Duct Tape is one of the most useful items in a Torchwood agent’s field kit.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
While Ianto didn’t approve of duct tape being used to attach things to the SUV, on account of the sticky residue it left behind which could be nightmare to remove, he had to admit it had its uses.
Need to make sure nasty alien bugs didn’t go up your trouser legs? Grab the duct tape. Run out of handcuffs for a bunch of captured alien invaders? Duct tape makes an effective substitute. Sprung a leak in a pipe? Slap on the duct tape as a temporary fix while you deal with the problem. Got a small alien trying to get out of its containment box? Wrap duct tape around the box to hold the lid in place; it can be cut off later.
It could be used to fasten things together, hold things down, hang things up, and make temporary repairs to damaged items, sealing rips in tents and overalls, holding the soles of shoes in place, or keeping wiring out of the way so it didn’t cause an accident. That was why everyone had a roll in their field kit; you never knew when it might come in handy.
Plus nothing worked better for removing fluff from Jack’s coat.
