Double Drabble: Quick Fix
Title: Quick Fix
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Owen, Gwen, Jack.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 592: Wound at
tw100.
Spoilers: Countrycide.
Summary: Gwen’s injured so Owen needs to patch her up fast.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
There’s a lot of blood, but Owen knows it could have been worse; the shotgun pellets were slowed considerably from being fired through a door. They still hit hard enough to do damage, but none of them have penetrated deeply enough to reach the abdominal cavity, so there’s no serious internal damage. Good thing Gwen’s got some flesh on her though, all padded curves, otherwise she’d have been in real trouble.
As it is, she’s in a lot of pain, squirming around, which isn’t helping Owen do his job. Jack’s trying to keep her still but there’s only so much he can do with one pair of hands. He’d need to be an octopus to hang on to her legs as well as her arms.
This would go better if Owen could put her under, or at least give her a shot of painkiller, but this isn’t a fully equipped hospital, and they can’t spare the time for drugs to work, so he just gets on with plucking out the pellets, one at a time, sprays antiseptic, and dresses the wound. He’ll deal with it properly back at the Hub.
If they all survive long enough to get back there.
