Summary: The new Hub is completed; all that’s needed now is people to work there.

A/N: Double drabble.
In a lot of ways the new Hub was a vast improvement on the old one, which had been roughly adapted to each new wave of technology and as a result had looked cobbled together from mismatched parts.
This Hub was purpose built, with a full medical suite including an operating theatre and labs, a proper break room with kitchen, state-of-the-art workstations, and even dorms for when staff had to work late, stay overnight, or were simply too tired to make it home.
Ianto cast his gaze over it, smiling in appreciation; it was beautiful, but he sort of missed the grunge chic of the old Hub. This one was so clean, tidy, logically laid out; all the things he’d fought for during the planning phase, but it seemed cold and clinical, more like Torchwood one than anything else, although the bright murals decorating the walls helped.
It was also far too quiet.
Turning from the view he settled himself at the desk; there was work to do. It was all very well having a new Hub, but it wouldn’t be any good if it was left empty. He reached for the shortlist of potential recruits. Time to start hiring.
