Double Drabble: Novel Experience

Title: Novel Experience
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Jack, Ianto.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 610: Experience at tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: It will be the experience of a lifetime, or so Jack says. Ianto is fast losing any enthusiasm he might have had earlier.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble. Set in my ‘Ghost of a Chance’ ‘verse.

“Will you hurry up?” Jack said for the umpteenth time, pacing impatiently back and forth. “I bring you here to enjoy the experience of a lifetime and you dawdle!”

“Don’t you go blaming me, Jack Harkness! I would’ve been ready over an hour ago if you hadn’t decided we’d got time for a quickie! Which, by the way, was anything but quick!”

“That doesn’t mean you need to take forever getting dressed!”

“And I wouldn’t be if you hadn’t torn my shirt, meaning I had to find something else to wear. You’re the one who vetoed practically everything I own and then proceeded to ruin the one shirt you said would be suitable.”

“I chose that one because it wouldn’t matter if it got ruined.”

Ianto poked his head out of their bedroom. “Ruined? Where exactly are you taking me?”

“Mud-sliding.” Jack beamed at him. “You’ll love it!”

“Mud…” Ianto’s expression of horror said it all.

“Don’t look at me like that. It’s fun, honest, but the mud’s only the right consistency for a few days each year.”

“Fine.” Ianto went back to the closet and picked out the most disposable clothes he owned, pulling them on. “Let’s go mud-sliding.”
