Double Drabble: Good To Have Friends
Title: Good To Have Friends
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Nosy, Owen, Tosh, Andy, Mickey, Jack, Ianto.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 612: Friend at
tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Nosy counts its blessings and its friends.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Everybody needed friends and that was just how the universe should be. One on their own, with no one to bond with, no one to share emotions with, would be painfully lonely and sad. Thinking beings were not designed to be so solitary.
Nosy knew how lucky it had been to find its humans. From the moment it had awoken to find itself with them down the hole in the ground, a strong connection had developed. No matter how strange the people of this word appeared on the outside, they were remarkably similar in other respects, full of curiosity and affection.
It slithered through its domain, checking on each of its friends in turn.
Owen was feeling grumpy, but a hum and a few playful pokes improved his mood.
Tosh was focused on Important Things; best not to interrupt her train of thought.
Andy was hungry so Nosy took him an apple and a bag of crisps.
Mickey was bored so Nosy played with him for a bit before going to look in on Jack and Ianto. They were busy entertaining each other, happiness coming off them in waves. That made Nosy happy too.
Having so many friends was good.
