FAKE Double Drabble: Postponed

Title: Postponed
Fandom: FAKE
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Dee, Ryo, JJ, Bikky, Carol.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 213: You Owe Me at drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: Vol. 6, Act 17.
Summary: The test drive got a bit derailed, but Dee’s determined to keep Ryo to his agreement.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.

Test drive rudely interrupted, first by his own damned phone ringing and then by JJ showing up with Bikky, saying Carol’s missing, possibly in the hands of the serial killer, Dee is torn. On the one hand, he’d had Ryo right where he’d been wanting his gorgeous partner, stretched out on the bed like all his wet dreams come true, and on the other, if that psycho bastard really has Carol then getting her back has to take priority.

Ryo just manages to prevent Dee from ending the call that will hopefully, with the right equipment, allow them to trace where Carol’s being held, and for once JJ’s being useful, volunteering to carry out the trace himself, since he knows how to work the equipment.

“Thanks, JJ, I owe you,” Ryo tells the little guy, ushering him out of the bedroom before going in search of clothes. Dee starts gathering his own, knowing they need to hurry; a young girl’s life is at stake, but he spares a few seconds to snag Ryo by the arm.

“You still owe me a test drive; don’t think I’m gonna forget.”

It’s postponed, not cancelled. Ryo agreed; he doesn’t get to back out.
