Title: Curious Cravings
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Ianto, Jack.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 628: Fruit at tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Jack’s pregnancy cravings have kicked in again.

A/N: Double drabble.

“You know, if you eat many more of those you’re going to wind up looking like one,” Ianto said, coming into Jack’s office and finding his husband indulging in his latest craving.

“Mpf,” Jack mumbled around his mouthful and shuddered with a blissful smile before swallowing. “I can’t help it! This is what the bump demands so this is what I have to eat.”

Jack was pregnant again, but thankfully it was only going to be one baby this time. One set of twins was quite enough!

“A different craving every time,” Ianto sighed, shaking his head. “I don’t know how you do it.”

“It’s not like I get to choose,” Jack defended himself, resting sticky hands over his bump. “You’ve never been pregnant; you don’t know what it’s like.”

“True, and I can’t say I envy you. Mars bars and marmalade with Meriel, sponge cake and ice cream with the twins, and now this!”

“But at least I’m craving fruit this time; that’s much healthier, right?”

“The jury’s still out of that one.”

Ianto winced as Jack took another bite; why couldn’t he have craved apples, plums, or grapes? But no, he was feasting on lemons and raw rhubarb!

The End

OMG! what an awful combination!
Mine were Egyptian dates and melon ice cream.

Hope Jack gets over it soon ...
Jack's cravings may be weird, but he enjoys them while he has them!

Thank you!
A long as he enjoys them .Never been pregnant, but as a child I enjoyed a stick of rhubarb dipped in sugar to nibble. No sweets during and just after the war

I had to take rhubarb to school for cookery class once and almost didn't leave myself enough to make the rhubarb crumble we were supposed to be doing. Used to love raw rhubarb but I prefer it cooked these days.

Thank you!
