A/N: Double drabble.
Everyone saw Owen Harper as a bit of a bastard, a sarcastic love ‘em and leave ‘em twat, only interested in one night stands and being mean to people. To be fair, Owen made no effort to change anyone’s low opinion of him. He seemed to revel in being thoroughly dislikeable, mocking, taunting, picking fights, and never apologising. It was as though he wanted everybody he met to hate him, as if he didn’t feel he deserved to have anyone like him, much less love him.
Maybe that was so.
But there was another side to Owen; when he chose to he could be incredibly sweet.
Tosh remembered a day soon after Owen had starting working for Torchwood. He’d arrived at the Hub with a hangover so Tosh had bought him an extra strong coffee, it being her turn to do the coffee run, and put it on his desk with a box of painkillers.
Owen hadn’t said a word, but that afternoon, when he’d fetched coffee for everyone, he’d left a chocolate cupcake on her desk. The sweet treat had said ‘thank you’ so much better than words could have, and in that moment Tosh had fallen in love.
The End
