A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto had been a little dubious about the whole idea. He and Jack going undercover as a married suburban couple could easily have been a complete disaster, and yet a lot of it was sort of fun.
Of course Jack, as Ken, was the breadwinner so he got to leave Serenity Plaza every day for work, while Ianto, as Ifan, got to play the little homemaker, keeping their house and garden tidy, entering the baking contest, befriending the neighbours, and keeping his eyes and ears open, searching for clues as to what exactly was going on in the exclusive gated community.
It would have been easy to get sucked into living the dream, but Ianto had to keep his wits about him and get involved in as many of the community’s events as he could, which was how he came to join the local knitting circle.
“I thought it would be nice to make Ken a cosy sweater for Christmas, something tasteful, perhaps in blue to match his eyes,” he explained. “I’ve done a bit of crochet before but I’ve never knitted; I’m a complete novice. I hope that’s okay.”
What better way to get close to the other residents?
