Dee had spent the night at Ryo’s. They were a couple now and the house ape knew, so why not? Ryo still fussed a bit about getting intimate when Bikky was around, but he was gradually getting less uptight. Given enough time, patience, and good loving, he’d adjust.
Bikky was a different story; he didn’t like sharing his dad’s attention, especially not with Dee, and made his displeasure clear in a variety of ways, but this was a new one.
“Argh!” Dee yelled in frustration.
“What’s up now?” Ryo came out of the bedroom, straightening his tie. He and Dee needed to leave for work soon, dropping Bikky at school on the way.
“The little bastard’s tied my shoelaces together and I can’t get the damned knot undone!”
Ryo sighed. “Bikky, I’ve told you before. Don’t play tricks on Dee; it isn’t funny.”
“But Ryo, I just wanted to practice! I learned that knot at summer camp.”
“And people say kids don’t learn anythin’ useful at camp,” Dee grumbled.
“If you wanted to practice you should’ve used a piece of string. Now untie Dee’s laces.”
“I can’t. I can tie the knot, but I don’t know how to undo it!”
