When he’d heard through the grapevine that Dee was working out of New York’s twenty-seventh precinct, JJ had immediately put in a request to be assigned there. Since the two-seven happened to be a bit short-handed following the retirement of two senior detectives, it wasn’t long before the transfer was approved.
“Reunited at last!” JJ sighed to himself. He wondered if Dee had missed him. After the academy, their career paths had taken them in different directions, but JJ had never forgotten the black-haired, green-eyed love-god who’d stolen his heart back then.
Dee would be so surprised to see him!
