Summary: After being run off their feet for weeks, Dee and Ryo suddenly have nothing to do.

Between work, overtime, and personal obligations, Dee and Ryo had barely had time to catch their breath recently. The only times they’d stopped had been to grab a few hours’ sleep and a bite to eat. Now, suddenly, they had nowhere to be and nothing they needed to do.


Ryo looked at his partner in disbelief. “We have the whole day off! I don’t even have any chores left to do, thanks to Bikky helping out!”


The same couldn’t be said for Dee, since he didn’t have the benefit of a teenager around the place wanting to earn a few extra bucks, but it wasn’t like the chores were going anywhere. He could deal with them some other time; they weren’t urgent.


“Twenty-four hours to do whatever we want,” he sighed. “I’d almost forgotten what that’s like!”


It should have been a pleasant thought, and for Dee it was, but Ryo found himself suddenly at a loose end. “What should we do?”


“Relax, babe. Rest, recover from the insanity of the last few weeks,” Dee advised, sprawled on Ryo’s sofa with his eyes closed. “Watch TV, or read a book.”


“Read, yes, good idea!” Five minutes later, Ryo was asleep.
