Fic Of The Week - Week Eight

I'm pleased to report I managed to get through both fics last week and thoroughly enjoyed them both! That bodes well for any time I pick a longer fic to read! I also had a very enjoyable Birthday, so thanks to everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes I received - there will be a proper thankyou post once I've got everything straight in my head!

This week's fic is a bit longer than usual, though the chapters aren't particularly long. I've chosen quite an old one this time, first posted in May 2007, because it's something I've wanted to read for a very long time and I've just never got around to it.

Hatful Of Hollow is a 13-chapter fic by the brilliant invisible_lift . Here's what he says in his notes:

Takes place not long after "Countrycide" but before "Greeks BearingGifts". Is exposition heavy as I really wanted to get into Ianto's head about how his relationship with Jack develops between "Cyberwoman" and "They Keep Killing Suzie".

The Rating starts off as Gen, but varies from chapter to chapter, going up to R and NC-17, so there should be something for everyone!

Chapter 1 is here: http://invisible-lift.livejournal.com/522.html  and each chapter links to the next.

I'm excited to read this as it's set in that very interesting period where Ianto is going from wanting to watch Jack die to propositioning him over Suzie's body. I love seeing how different writers explore the changes in Ianto's attitude towards Jack throughout that period, as he copes with his grief and anger as well as a growing attraction to the man who was largely responsible for Lisa's final death.

Happy reading, everyone!
