Drabble: Out Of Time

Title: Out Of Time

Author: badly_knitted

Characters: Jack, mentions John Ellis, Emma-Louise Cowell, Diane Holmes

Rating: G

Spoilers: Out Of Time.

Summary: Three people have fallen through the Rift.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: For ‘The Time Travellers’, one of the prompts I didn’t get around to using for tw100’s challenge 316 earlier this year. I’ve dug them out again to supplement the prompts I got from my f-list, just because there are still loads I wanted to use.

Anything at all could fall through the Rift, from past, present or future and from anywhere in the universe. Jack suspected things could fall through from other universes too, though he hadn’t yet been able to prove it. Even so, this was something he’d never seen before; three people in a small plane, plucked from their own time and dumped more than fifty years in their future.

They were just regular people, nothing out of the ordinary. A shopkeeper, a young woman, a female pilot… Now the inadvertent time travellers were stranded out of time.

They could never go home.

The End

Poignant, hopeful and for one, a new beginning. Lovely drabble... :D
Thank you!

One out of three I guess is better than nothing. Who knows what happened to Diane though? maybe she found somewhere else she'd be happy.

That was a brilliant episode and very sad too.

great drabble
Thank you!

The Time Travellers prompt was too good to use just once, lol!

It was a very sad episode in parts, but hopeful for Emma-Louise, she made a go of it.
One of my favorite episodes. Lovely drabble.
Thank you! I had to use the prompt for this episode, it was too good a fit not to.
Nicely done. That was a sad episode.
Yeah, the only one who coped was Emma, the youngest. Diane was somehow not satisfied and John couldn't handle the way the world had changed.

Thank you!
