Drabble: Christmas In The Sun

Title: Christmas In The Sun

Author: badly_knitted

Characters: Jack, Ianto

Rating: G

Spoilers: Nada.

Summary: Ianto wants to go away for Christmas

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: For mahmfic’s prompt ‘Christmas in a tropical location.’ Okay, so Australia may not technically be tropical, but it’s where Ianto decided he wanted to go.

“What’re these?” Jack gestured at the stack of colourful magazines.

“Holiday brochures. I thought we could go away for Christmas this year. We’re not really needed at Torchwood these days, it would be good to get away for a bit,” Ianto explained.

Jack flipped through the brochures.

“You want to spend Christmas in Australia? Why?”

“Because I never have. I want to know what it’s like to have a Christmas barbecue, laze around on the beach and for once not freeze my arse off in wet, windy Cardiff.”

Jack thought about Ianto in shorts and smiled.

“When do we leave?”

The End

Lol, Ianto can come and spend Christmas in my country ANY. TIME. HE. WANTS !!!

Excuse me while I go make up the guest bedroom and fire up the barbie :)
Good to know that Ianto will have somewhere to stay when he arrives! He appreciates it ;)

Tank you!
Or they can come to BA and spend Xmas by my pool?
They like the sound of that! Can they bring their Fluff?

Thank you!
Oh yes, I have four-legged friends to play with!
I can just imagine Nosy romping about with your pets while Jack and Ianto laze by the pool!
Ihave to admit it is kind of different to spend Christmas in summer, but I kind of like it in winter.

great drabble.
Christmas in winter is what I'm used to, I just wish it wasn't always so damned cold! LOL!

Thank you!
Ianto really has the right idea about spending the holidays in warmer climates. Of course, wearing shorts is just the bonus.
Jack's wondering if he could persuade Ianto to wear a speedo, or maybe there's a nudist beach... He needs to check the brochures.

Thank you!
Warm weather and Ianto in shorts? Merry Christmas to Jack! LOL.

I hope the boys have a lovely Christmas--and you too!
They're having a very happy time. Makes me think of one of my favourite Kenny Chesney songs - No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems!

Thank you! Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas too!
Yowza, going to be a Merry Christmas, indeed! ;D
Better than cold and snow, that's for sure!

Thank you!
Christmas without the wind and rain would seem weird...
Weird, but nice. I'm tired of this miserable weather. I've got a sore throat and a cough and there's a howling gale blowing outside.

Thank you!
