Drabble: Wielding A Red Pen

Title: Wielding A Red Pen

Author: badly_knitted

Characters: Ianto, mentions Jack.

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 334 – Red at tw100

Spoilers: Nada.

Summary: Ianto’s had enough, much to the horror of the rest of the team.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

Looking over yet another report full of bad spelling, worse grammar and non-existent punctuation, Ianto decided enough was enough. It was past time that the others took responsibility. Reaching for a red pen, he set to work.

A couple of hours later, he left the proofread documents on the relevant desks and waited for the team to return from a Rift alert.

He was in the kitchen making coffee when the team barged in waving folders at him.

“What’s this for?” Jack asked, frowning.

“I’m tired of re-writing everyone’s reports for them. From now on, you can do it yourselves.”

*jumps up and down and cheers*   there's really no excuse! :)

I always despair when I read something full of mistakes. Not that I never make them - even after editing something several times, typos can be missed - but when there are mistakes in practically every sentence, I just want to go through with a red pen myself.

Thank you.
they will definitely learn their lesson about report writing lol

great drabble
Well, Ianto hopes so!

Thank you!

(Don't know how I missed your comment!)
Hehe way to go Ianto!
I hope he marked them too - anything below a B+ is unacceptable for filing and must be written again. The worst offenders will be given detention... though I bet Jack would enjoy that...
All will be revealed in the next part ;)

Jack would love detention, punishing him is difficult because he likes it.
Damn straight! Why should Ianto edit everyone else's reports?
No more! He's putting his foot down!

Thank you!
good and great idea!
Thank you!
