Fic Of The Week - Week Thirty Seven

Hello, everyone, it's fic of the week time again and I want to kill the internet because I was almost ready to post and internet explorer stopped working, so I lost everything I'd typed! Bugger, now I have to try to type it all again!

Anyway, I'm picking a much more recent fic this time, Come On With The Rain by pinetranio . It was originally posted at the end of January 2011, while I was still dealing with the fallout from burst pipes, an uninhabitable bedroom and no heating the week before Christmas. Needless to say, I had very little time for reading fanfic back then and could only gaze longingly at all the lovely fics that were being posted and which I didn't have time to read. Finally, I get the chance to read this one!

There are 10 chapters, plus a prologue and epilogue, so 12 parts altogether and it's based on the famous musical Singin' In The Rain, which is one of my favourites. It has a couple of characters from Doctor Who, as well as those from Torchwood, but I don't know if it can really be called a crossover as it's AU.

Summary: AU Jack Harkness is the most popular star of the long running soap, The Dueling Cavalier. He has everything a person could want, talent, looks, money and the love of an entire nation. But, after meeting struggling actor, Ianto Jones, he begins to rethink the importance of celebrity.

The prologue is here:

I'm really looking forward to reading this, sorry if everyone else has already read it!

If there's anyone else out there who hasn't read this one - Happy reading!
