Drabble: Out To Lunch

Title: Out To Lunch

Author: badly_knitted

Characters: Ianto, Jack.

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 384: Restaurant at tw100

Spoilers: Nada.

Summary: Jack and Ianto decide to have lunch out.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

There was nothing like lunch in a nice restaurant, Ianto thought. Too bad this restaurant wasn’t nice. He and Jack had driven out to Swansea to investigate reports of mysterious lights in the sky, but had found nothing. Getting hungry, they’d found a restaurant that didn’t look too busy and ordered something to eat.

Turned out there was a good reason the place was half empty; everything was overdone and tasteless, a good trick considering they’d only ordered sandwiches.

“Next time, we should pick a busy restaurant and wait for a table,” Ianto decided.

Jack nodded. “Let’s do that now.”

The End

lol yep I think you should.

great drabble
Bad food isn't worth eating, they'll go somewhere else and have something nicer, even if it DOES mean waiting!

Thank you!
They'll entertain each other while they wait
I'm sure that's true, and good food is worth waiting for!

Thank you!

Yup, if it looks dingy on the outside but it's full of people you know you're going to get some good grub inside!

Half-empty restaurants are the last places you should eat. Look for one with a queue!

Thank you!
oh yes! good decision!!!
They're not going to put up with bad food, they have their standards!

Thank you!
I agree!! A little busy restaurant is a risk. But not always! it depends on the time.
We must also look at the atmosphere, the card (not supplied too if it's not fresh homemade), cleanliness ...
I know an Asian restaurant with an Asian leader who never crowded at lunch, but what is good. Besides, most customers are few Asian !!
But in an unfamiliar town, best to go to a popular place to eat. The locals know the best places.

Thank you!
