Drabble: Backbreaking Work

Title: Backbreaking Work
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Ianto, Owen.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 453: Last at tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Ianto feels like his back is about to give out.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

Ianto groaned, straightening up slowly, holding his back and hearing his vertebrae make unpleasant cracking sounds. “Ow! I hope that’s the last of them; I don’t think my back can take much more.”

“It’s your own fault; bending like that isn’t good for you. Why didn’t you kneel down like me?” Owen asked.

“Do you have any idea what that would’ve done to the knees of my trousers?”

“So your trousers are more important to you than your back?”

“Good suits aren’t cheap. Besides, whose fault is this anyway? You’re the one who dropped a whole box of drawing pins.”

The End

A/N: Drawing pins are better known as thumb tacks in some places ;)

LOL or use a magnet to pick them up.

great drabble
Tosh frowns in powerful magnets waved around near her computers ;)

Thank you!
an awful job but imagine what a great view!!!!!! LOL
Yes, for someone on the sidelines it would be a joy to watch!

Thank you!
He should have made Owen pick them up himself. For the future buy a magnet on a long stick and sit in a chair. If Jack's around he'd enjoy the sight of Ianto bending over he'd enjoy the view, as would we all
Ianto would have if he could trust Owen to do the job, but Owen probably wouldn't have bothered by himself.

The pesky things rolled all over the place, under furniture and into awkward places.

I'm sure Jack would indeed enjoy the view!

Thank you!

*groans* done that before. Not fun. They'll keep finding the odd one here and there for weeks.

Better get the metal detectors out...

Thank you!
